Monica Wangari

Christopher Kabue is a Nairobian who lives in Toronto, Canada, and has a passion for psychology and neuroscience. He intends to advocate for better, more efficient strategies in mental healthcare that cater for everyone yet allow for personalised interventions. He lives with major depressive disorder, generalised anxiety disorder and borderline personality disorder. Mental health matters: It should be considered as an inherently critical matter in healthcare for humanity to survive and thrive.

Lwile the Leo

Lwile is a budding writer born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. She is a lover of great food, dry wine, real conversations and moments spent reading; loather of parking fees, restaurant container charges, queues and Monday mornings. She is passionate about mental health, purpose fuelled living, women economic empowerment and education of young children.

Joseph Guchu

Joseph Guchu is a community health and development professional, skillful in diverse health, relief aid and developmental project management. He is a member of Rotaract Club of Nairobi Central. He has a deep passion for mental health and primary health care dynamics and solutions. He loves reading thrillers and enjoys cycling.

Monica Wangari

Monica Wangari is from Nairobi, Kenya. She is passionate about mental health and has struggled with Depression, Anxiety and Panic attacks. She hopes to fight stigma and also change the narrative that surrounds mental health. She is eager to participate in projects that will empower those suffering from mental illness as well as educate the community. At Project AKILI, she will be sharing coping mechanisms and provide information and support for those who suffer from mental illness.

Pascal Aloo

Pascal Aloo is from Nairobi, Kenya and champions for "healthy minds". He is pained by students and young people going through depression and anxiety and considers it his calling to encourage these people by sharing his experiences about how he has coped with the same issues.

Wangari Murage

Wangari Murage is from Nairobi, Kenya. She is passionate about mental health and hopes to discuss about how society handles mental illnesses and how we can change our culture to be more loving and understanding. She believes in kindness and in her own words, "We should be kind to everyone we meet since all the people we meet are fighting their own hard battles.

Daniel Murage

Murage Macharia is from Kerugoya, Kenya. He is passionate about mental health and hopes to discuss about depression, bipolar disorder and share coping mechanisms for living with these illnesses. He aims to use this platform to share stories, offer help and build an empathetic community.
